Safety & CSR

Working at height or in hard-to-reach places can be dangerous. In order to reduce the risks of our work, we carry out a rigorous risk assessment prior to each project. In doing so, we carefully map out all hazards and other possible obstacles. In addition, all our employees are IRATA certified, which means that they are qualified

to work in hard-to-reach places using rope-access techniques. Rotterdam Rigging can also create a safe workplace for professionals who are not familiar with rope access techniques. We do this by designing and assembling temporary work platforms and by making hard-to-reach places accessible with the instalment of life-lines.

With over forty years of experience in working at height, we are happy to help you with advice, inspection and / or control activities.

IRATA

IRATA is an acronym for the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association, that was formed in the UK in the late 1980’s, to solve maintenance challenges in the offshore oil and gas industry. Its formation was the result of an initiative of a number of leading companies, who had begun to use industrial rope access techniques, to provide a safe working environment for the industry.

Over the years, IRATA has grown into an internationally recognized quality mark. The rope access technique developed by IRATA is used in a wide range of repair, maintenance, inspection and access work. Rope access methodology boasts an unrivalled safety record, short set-up and dismantling time, positive environmental benefits and removes the need for invasive access equipment or disruption to a worksite.

SCC

SCC is the abbreviation for VGM’s Checklist for Contractors (veiligheid, gezondheid en milieu / ‘safety, health and environment’). The SCC system helps your organization to maintain healthy and safe working practices. SCC is primarily intended for companies that perform high-risk work or work in a high-risk environment.  Rotterdam Rigging attaches great importance to a safe working environment and we are therefore fully SCC certified.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

We work at great heights. That means that we enjoy the best views of our surroundings, our ecosystem, so to speak. We strive to preserve and improve our ecosystem, for us, but also for future generations. That is why we strive to limit our ecological footprint as much as possible. This includes energy saving at our office, environmentally-friendly promotional items, switching to digital documents and, in the long term, an electric vehicle fleet. This is how we invest today in the improvement of tomorrow’s world.
